Detectives appeal over the rape of a woman last weekend in Rathcoole

DETECTIVES have issued an appeal for information over the rape of a woman in Rathcoole, Newtownabbey last weekend.

The 19-year-old victim got into a taxi in Bradbury Place in south Belfast last Friday, 26 July, at around 11.30pm.

She was left off in Rathcoole, where she was later assaulted.

Detectives from the PSNI’s Rape Crime Unit at Ladas Drive are appealing for the driver of a black taxi – or anyone who knows anything about the incident – to contact them.
