Police appeal for information after a knife-point robbery in west Belfast

DETECTIVES are investigating a knife-point robbery in west Belfast.

Two staff members were not injured the robbery but were left shaken following their ordeal.

Police say two men, one of whom was armed with a knife, robbed a chemist’s shop on the Springfield Road at around 1.45 pm on Tuesday.

The men entered and demanded money, making off with a sum of cash in the direction of Violet Street.

The men are both described as being aged in their late 20s to early 30s.

One of the men was wearing a red hooded top and grey track bottoms.

The other was wearing a black hooded top and black bottoms.
