POLICE are investigating after callous youths damaged a floral tribute to two soldiers killed at Massereene army barracks by the Real IRA.

The wreaths were laid in memory of sappers Mark Quinsey, 23, and 21-year-old Patrick Azimkar.

The pair were gunned down by the Real IRA in March 2009 as they collected pizzas from delivery drivers at the gates to the barracks.

Police said the damage happened after a number of youths were asked to move from the front of the barracks by security, at around 1.30am on 20 July.

Anyone with information has been asked to contact police on 0845 600 8000.
