Police appeal after man assaulted at the weekend in west Belfast

DETECTIVES are appealing for information after a 23-year-old man was attacked at the weekend in west Belfast.

The man was assaulted by a number of men in the Vere Foster Walk area of Ballymurphy at 3 am on Saturday morning.

He was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries to his face which are not life-threatening.

Police in west Belfast have asked anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has any information to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
