Detectives at Musgrave Street station hunt designer sunglass thieves

DETECTIVES have warned the public to be the alert after thieves stole 15 pairs of designer sunglasses from a Belfast opticians. 

Two men smashed the front window of the Mackey’s store on North Street and lifted the items from a display cabinet at around 3am last Friday morning.

Police are now asking members of the public who are offered Oakley sunglasses in suspicious circumstances to come forward.

The stolen goods are valued at between £230 and £240 per pair.

One of the thieves was described as wearing shorts and a grey hoodie, while the other was wearing dark trousers, a hoodie and a baseball cap.

Detectives want anyone with information about the thieves or are offered them for sale to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
