Police probe after woman knocked down in north Belfast

POLICE are investigating after a female pedestrian was rushed to hospital on Friday evenving after she was knocked down by a car in north Belfast.

The woman suffered a head injury following the collision with the Blue Peugeot.

The accident happened in the North Queen Street area.A PSNI spokeswoman said North Queen Street has been closed at its junction with Carrick Hill and New Lodge Road.

The woman’s condition is not yet known.
