GARDA detectives investigating the murder of a colleague three months ago seeking information about a white lorry seen in Forkhill.
The HGV was spotted on the Shean Road area of the Co Armagh village at around 9.45pm on 25 January, the night Garda Det Adrian Donohue was shot dead close to a credit union in Co Louth.
In a fresh appeal for information on Tuesday, Gardai said: “The lorry may have been broken down and a number of people were seen around the lorry.
“We want to establish the following: the identity of the driver/owner of the vehicle; the identity of any person present with this lorry on the 25 January; identity of any person who may have been involved in the recovery of the vehicle; identity of any person who may have been involved in the service of the vehicle on the 25 January; and to identify the drivers of any other vehicles that may have been travelling on the Shean Rd, Forkhill at 9.45pm.”
The PSNI’s Serious Crime Branch carried out a number of searches on Monday in the south Armagh area in connection with the murder.
Anyone with further information about the lorry or those involved in the murder has been asked to pass it on to Garda officers in Dundalk on 00 353 42 938 8400.
