HEAVY snow falls are playing havoc with weekend sporting fixtures in Northern Ireland.
Belfast City Council has announced that all its pitches will be closed to football and other games this weekend due to the snow.
A large cloud hangs over the Danske Bank Irish Premier League fixtures on Saturday, March 23.
The only likely game to go ahead is at Crusaders FC’s Seaview ground on the Shore Road, north Belfast as it has an astro pitch.
Malone Golf Club in south Belfast says it is closed now for weekend golf.
Its next inspection will take place on Monday, March 25.
