Police hunt thugs who beat man with sticks in Ballyclare

POLICE are hunting three men who beat a pensioner with sticks in his own home.

The brutal attack happened around 6.25pm when three men, two of whom were armed with sticks, forced their way in the man’s Ballyrobert Home in Ballyclare, Co Antrim.

The victim, who is in his 70s, was assaulted and needed hospital treatment for his injuries although they are not life threatening.

The three suspects are described as being in their late teens or early 20s and made off in the direction of Corrs Corner.

They are believed to have made off in the general direction of Corrs Corner.
