Police probe arson attack in Newtownards

DETECTIVES are investigating an arson attack on a house in Co Down.

A petrol bomb was thrown through the front window of a house in Movilla Street, Newtownards, around 10.30pm on Friday night.

A man in his 20s who was in the house at the time cheated death in the attack. The petrol bomb caused scorch damage to the property.

A brick was also thrown at the house and a pane of glass was smashed.
