PSNI charge man over crossbow robbery

A MAN arrested following a botched robbery in south Belfast is to face a court this morning.

The 31-year-old man entered a shop on the Lisburn Road armed with a crossbow and hammer at around 9.50pm on Thursday.

It is not believed that anything was taken during the incident and no one was harmed.

The male was arrested at the scene and was taken away to Musgrave Street PSNI station for questioning.

The arrested man will face Belfast Magistrates Court this morning.
