TWO MEN TO FACE COURT OVER LOYALIST RIOTING IN BELFAST

PSNI charge two over Belfast rioting.

TWO men are to face separate courts  next month over rioting in west Belfast.

It comes after trouble broke out in the Denmark Street area on September 2.

A 17-year-old is due before Belfast Youth Court charged with assembly, possession of an offensive weapon and criminal damage.

A 23-year-old is charged with riotous assembly to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court.

Both men were arrested on Friday and will face the charges in November.

Police added that another 21-year-old man who was also arrested on suspicion of riotous assembly has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
