Police are hunting knife wielding thug who hijacked car in north Belfast

A THUG armed with a knife has hijacked a woman’s car in north Belfast.

The terrified victim was in her car in Corporation Street around 6pm on Wednesday evening when a man with a knife approached and ordered her out of the vehicle.

The hijacker then drove off in the car, a Peugeot 207 and it was found abandoned at Upper Meadow Street in north Belfast at about 8.55pm.

The woman was not injured during the incident, but was left badly shaken.

Police have appealed for information about the armed attacker and the car’s movements in the intervening three hours.
