INLA CRIME PROBE: MAN TO FACE COURT ON DRUGS AND ‘DIRTY CASH’ CHARGES

A 28 year old man has been charged with possessing criminal property, possession of a Class A Controlled drug, possession of a Class A Controlled drug with intent to supply, possession of a Class B Controlled drug and possession of a Class B Controlled drug with intent to supply.

It follows a probe by the Paramilitary Crime Task Force into the criminal activities of the INLA.

He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court on Tuesday 29th September.

As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

A 28 year old woman also arrested during the searches has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

The charges are in relation to the seizure of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of £3,000, suspected cannabis with an estimated street value of £8,400 and approximately £4000 in cash, following proactive searches in the west Belfast area on Monday, September 28th by detectives from the Paramilitary Crime Task Force.
