TEEN TO FACE COURT OVER ARMED SHOP ROBBERIES IN EAST BELFAST

DETECTIVES have charged an 18 year old male with two counts of robbery and two counts of possession of offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence. 

He is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court on Monday 08 June.

As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

The charges are in connection with an armed robbery of a shop on Summerhill Avenue in east Belfast on Saturday afternoon, June 6 and an armed robbery of a filling station on Upper Newtownards Road in east Belfast on June 2.
