CASH STOLEN IN RAIDS ON COMMERCIAL PREMISES

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following burglaries in the Comber area on last Wednesday March 18. 

Detective Constable Hughes said: “We received a report that sometime around 3.30 am on Wednesday morning, entry had been gained to commercial premises on Railway Street, Comber.

“A sum of cash was taken.

“Police received a further report on Wednesday morning that sometime between 5.30 pm on Tuesday, March 17 and 9.30 am on Wednesday morning that entry had been gained to commercial premises on Mill Street, Comber.

“A quantity of cash was taken during the incident. 

“Enquiries are continuing and at this stage, we are investigating a link between these incidents.

“Police would appeal to anyone with any information in relation to these incidents to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference number 550 of 18/03/20 and 266 18/03/20.”

Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.
