MOVER over John Lewis, there’s a new Irish star this Christmas.
Hastings Hotels has launched its heart-warming 2019 festive campaign, ‘The Doorman and the Duck’.
The little duckling then makes himself at home in one of the luxurious guestrooms for the night before the friendly doorman helps reunite him with his family.
“The duck has been central to Hastings Hotels for almost 30 years and we are delighted to bring him to life this year for our Christmas Campaign,” said Julie Hastings, Marketing Director of Hastings Hotels.
“The new ad represents the true sentimentality of the festive season and we hope people will fall in love with ‘The Doorman and the Duck’ just as much as we have.”
The much-loved Hastings rubber ducks are given to guests complimentary when they stay at one of the seven hotels, with new versions launched regularly.
Over Christmas, the hotels give the ducks as ‘quackers’ instead of crackers on the tables for Christmas party nights and dining.
The ducks have met hundreds of celebrities including Rory McIlroy, Lionel Ritchie, Michael Douglas, Shania Twain, Jamie Doran, President Michael D Higgins and Britain’s Prince Charles.
Large three-foot versions of the ducks have also been created and proved so popular that one group of guests smuggled a large Hastings Culture Duck from the Everglades hotel on to a flight to Gatwick in 2013.
To celebrate ‘The Doorman and the Duck’, Hastings Hotels has launched a fabulous Black Friday Extravaganza.
Voted Ireland’s leading luxury hotel group in 2019, they are treating everyone to a bottle of wine or bubbles per transaction, when you spend £100 or more on Hastings Hotels Gift Cards.
A November offer of a £10 voucher for every £100 you spend on a Hastings Hotels Gift Card also still applies, with the card redeemable on any experience across all seven hotels, with no expiry date.
To take advantage of this offer, go to www.hastingshotels.com or call the Gift Hotline on 028 9047 1066.
This offer is available online until tomorrow, Friday at 23:59 and by calling the hotline between 8am – 8pm today and tomorrow.
