DETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Major Investigation Team have arrested a suspect over the death of a 49 year old man at Kings Road in Tullycarnet, east Belfast last night, Thursday,  October 17.

A 26 year old was detained in the Belfast area as part of the probe.

He is currently in Musgrave Serious Crime Suite where he is being questioned by detectives.

A post mortem is due to take place within the next 24 hours to determine the cause of death.

There are no further details at this time.

Detective Chief Inspector Darren McCartney said: “I would appeal to anyone who was in the Kings Road area last night between 6 pm and 8 pm and saw anything that may be of assistance to our investigation, please call 101 and ask to speak to detectives in Ladas Drive.”
