Man to face Belfast court for possession of ammunition

DETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Paramilitary Crime Task Force have charged a 54 year old man with possessing ammunition in suspicious circumstances and 2 x possession of a Class B controlled drug. 

He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court today, Saturday, September 21, for a first remand hearing.

As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the PPS.

The charges are in relation to a number of searches in the Carrickfergus area on Friday, 20 September.

Two men aged 28 and 31 who were arrested have been released on bail pending further police enquiries.
