A 30 year old man has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent, aggravated burglary with intent and possessing an offensive weapon with intent. 

He is due to appear in Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Monday, September 2, for a first remand hearing.

As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the PPS.

The charges are in relation to a serious assault on a 37-year-old in his flat in the Great Victoria Street area of Belfast on August 3.
