DETECTIVES in Belfast are appealing for information following the report of an assault on a man in the Great Victoria Street area on Saturday, August3.

Detective Inspector Tom Phillips said: “At approximately 6.00 am on Saturday morning, a 37 year old man was assaulted in his flat in the Great Victoria Street area.

“He was later taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries, his condition is described as critical but stable.

“We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the assault, or who may have information which can assist with the investigation to contact detectives in Belfast on 101 quoting reference number 496 of 03/08/19.”
