TWO PEOPLE CHEAT INJURY IN PIPE BOMB ATTACK ON HOUSE

DETECTIVES are appealing for information following the report of a pipe bomb that was thrown to the rear of a property during the early hours of this morning, Thursday, July 5. 

Detective Sergeant Colin Patterson said: “We received a report this afternoon, at approximately 12:10 pm, that the occupant of a house in the Enniskeen area of Craigavon, heard a loud bang to the rear of their property at around 1 am.

“The occupant subsequently discovered the remnants of what is believed to have been a pipe bomb in the back garden.

“Two people reported to be in the house at the time were uninjured.

“We are working to establish a motive for this incident and we are appealing for anyone with information to please get in touch with detectives in Lurgan by calling 101, quoting reference number 595 of 05/07/18.

“Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
