DETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Criminal Investigation Branch have today arrested two people for weapon offences.

The arrests were made after police uncovered a number of firearms during a search of a property in the Springfield Road area of West Belfast.

Detective Chief Inspector White said: “A man, 49, and a 51 year old woman have been arrested in relation to various firearms offences.

“They and have been taken to Musgrave Police Station where they are currently being questioned.”
