MAN QUIZZED AFTER TEEN ASSAULTED OUTSIDE FOOD TAKEAWAY OUTLET

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following an assault which took place outside a food premises.

The attack happened at Lower Mill Street in Ballymena on Monday, 12 March.

 Constable Gibney said; “At approximately 3.40pm a 16 year old male was assaulted and received injuries to his face and eyes which are not believed to be life threatening.

“A 38 year old man male was arrested at the scene who has since been bailed pending further enquiries.

“I am appealing that anyone with information contact police at Ballymena on 101 quoting reference CC880 of 12/03/18.

“Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
