Man to face Newry court over shooting incident

DETECTIVES investigating the report of a shooting incident last month have charged a man to court.

The incident happened in the Cloghoge Road area of Cullyhanna, south Armagh, on the evening of Wednesday, February 21.

They have charged a 33 year old man with grievous bodily harm, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and threats to kill.

He is due before Newry Magistrates Court today, Saturday, March 10,  for a first remand hearing.
