CIGARETTES STOLEN IN EAST BELFAST BURGLARY

DETECTIVES at Lisburn are appealing for information following a report of a burglary at commercial premises in the Craigleith Drive area of Dundonald.

Detective Constable O’Neill said: “Police received a report just before 6am on Thursday 18th January, that entry had been forced to the premises and a quantity of cigarettes had been stolen.

“We believe the burglary occurred sometime between 10pm on Wednesday, 17th January and the time it was reported to police.

“I would appeal to anyone who was in the area and saw any suspicious activity, or who has information which could be useful to the investigation or anyone who is offered cigarettes for sale in suspicious circumstances to contact Detectives at Lisburn Criminal Investigation Branch on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 161 of 18/1/18.

“Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
