It follows as search morning at a house in the Drumragh Road area of Omagh.

The device had been left in a bin on Sunday, November 12.

“He has been taken to the Serious Crime Suite at Musgrave station in Belfast for questioning.

“Our investigation into this incident is very much ongoing and I would encourage anyone with any information which could assist us with our enquiries to contact detectives in Omagh on 101 quoting reference number 100 12/11/17.

“Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
