14-YEAR-OLD BOY SUSTAINS FRACTURED JAW AT FOOTBALL MATCH

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Dundonald, east Belfast, last month during which a teenage boy was viciously assaulted.

The PSNI say officers received a report that a 14 year old boy sustained a suspected hairline fracture to his jaw and damage to his teeth after he was assaulted during a football match at football grounds on the Comber Road around 12.30 pm on Saturday, August 26.

A spokesperson said: “Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to contact officers in Lisburn on 101 quoting reference number 808 of 26/08/17.

“Information can also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
