MAN AND WOMAN ARRESTED OVER UDA MURDER OF GEORDIE GILMORE

Geordie Gilmore shot dead by south east Antrim UDA in March this year

DETECIVES from the PSNI’s Serious Crime Branch, investigating the murder of Geordie Gilmore five months have ago have made fresh arrested.

A 37 year old man and a 32 year old woman were detained today in the Carrickfergus area under section 41 of the Terrorism Act.

They are currently in Musgrave Serious Crime Suite assisting detectives with their enquiries.

Gilmore was shot dead in Carrickfergus on Monday, March 13 by a lone gunman.

Police believe he was shot dead as part of a feud with the south east Antrim UDA.

Detectives continue to appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time of the shooting and who witnessed the attack to contact them in the incident room on 02890 259542, phone police on 101 quoting serial 605 15/03 or phone Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you would prefer to remain anonymous.
