The £100,000 herbal cannabis haul intercepted in England on its way to Northern Ireland

POLICE say that £100,000 worth of herbal cannabis destined for Northern Ireland has been intercepted in the postal system.

The package was intercepted in England on Saturday, January 7 but police have only released details today.

The PSNI’S Organised Crime Branch said no arrests have been made but a search has been carried out in the greater Belfast area.

The unit said that further searches in relation to the recovery would “be carried out in due course”.
