Road traffic victim John FItzgerald who has died from his injuries in hospital

POLICE have confirmed that a 27 year old has died from injuries he received following a road traffic collision near Belfast International Airport on Sunday,

John Fitzgerald was walking along the Ballyrobin Road in Antrim last Saturday evening.

Mr Fitzgerald, from Kilmacthomas, Co Waterford, was involved in a collision with a car shortly before 4.50 pm close to the Ballyrobin Guest House.

Officers from the PSNI’s Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for anyone who was travelling on the Ballyrobin Road on Saturday evening and who witnessed the collision to contact them on 101.

They should quote reference number 831 of 19/11/16 when calling in.
