A 60 year old man is due to face the Belfast Extradition Court at Laganside court complex today as he is wanted by Gardai on serious offences.

His arrest was made in Co Armagh following a planned operation and arrest by officers from the PSNI’s Extradition Unit this morning by way of a European Arrest Warrant issued by the requesting state, the Republic of Ireland.

The man is wanted in relation to a number of offences including grievous bodily harm, false imprisonment, threats to kill and violent disorder.

The offences are alleged to have taken place in Dublin on June 9, 2015.
