POLICE are in attendance at a security alert in a seaside town this afternoon.
The alert centres on the Quay Road area of Ballycastle.
Army Technical Officers are at the scene.
The alarm was raised after a suspicious object was found.
Quay Road in Ballycastle currently closed between Rathlin Road and Mary Street following the discovery of a suspicious object in the area.
There are no further details at this stage.
Local Sinn Fein MLA Daithi McKay has condemned those behind the alert.
