GIRL BRUISED IN SECTARIAN HATE CRIME ATTACK IN WEST BELFAST

PSNI crestPOLICE are appealing for information following an assault on a teenage girl.

The attack happened at Falls Park off the Falls Road in west Belfast on Saturday, May 14.

The girl was walking in the Falls Park area when she was assaulted by a group of unknown females around 9 pm.

She sustained bruising and police are treating this assault as a sectarian hate crime.

Inspector Kelly Moore would appeal to anyone who was in the area around this time and who may have witnessed this assault to contact Police at Woodbourne PSNI Station on the non-emergency number 101.

Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
