TWO MEN CHARGED OVER 13 BURGLARIES

Omagh magistrates courtDETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Reactive and Organised Crime branch have charged two men in relation to 13 burglaries.

The 24 year old and 42 year old men were arrested in Newry on Tuesday, 9 February.

They were both charged in relation to burglaries which occurred between July and September 2015 in Newry, Jonesborough, Forkhill, Killeavy, Warrenpoint, Silverbridge and Keady.

They were further charged in relation to an aggravated burglary in Keady on 30 January, 2016 and a burglary in Mullaghbawn on the same date.

The 42 year old man was also charged with theft in relation to an incident in Crossmaglen on 22 September, 2015.

Both will appear before Newry Magistrates’ Court this morning, February 10.

As is normal procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
