TWO TO FACE COURT OVER £30,000 COCAINE SEIZURE

Craigavon Magistrates CourtDETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Reactive and Organised Crime have charged a 36 year old man and a 25 year old woman with dealing in cocaine.

They face charges of possession of class A drugs and possession of class A drugs with intent to supply under the 1971 Misuse of Drugs Act.

The pair are due to face Craigavon Magistrates’ Court this morning, Wednesday, January 6 for a first remand hearing.

As is normal procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.

Officers stopped and searched a vehicle on Dromore Road, Hillsborough shortly after 7pm on Monday, 4 January, 2016.

Cocaine with an estimated street value of £30,000 was seized.

A 36 year old man and 25 year old woman were arrested for possession of Class A drugs and possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.

Detective Inspector Alan Pyper said: “We hope this sends out a clear message to any person who considers becoming involved in the illegal sale or use of drugs. We are committed to removing illegal drugs from our streets.

“We would encourage anyone who has information which may assist our investigation to contact us on 101.”
