POLICE have evacuated a number of homes after a suspicious object was discovered in north Belfast.

The object was found in the Woodvale Road area this morning.

The road has been cordoned off by police, and traffic diversions have been put in place.

Army Technical Officers are currently at the scene examining the suspicious object
