COPS in north Belfast are jubilant after hitting drug dealers in the pocket – by seizing their illegal stash of body building drugs and their dirty cash.

Officers seized suspected steroids valued at £23,000 and over £6,000 in cash following searches of commercial premises in the Donegall Street area of Belfast and a residential address in Newtownabbey.

Inspector Roy Watton explained: “Police are committed to tackling the issue of drug supply and misuse. We will continue to dedicate resources to identify individuals involved and bring them to justice.

“One male has been arrested, questioned and released on police bail, but our enquires into the illegal supply of these potentially lethal drugs are continuing.

“I would appeal for anyone with any information connected to the illegal supply or misuse of drugs to contact their local police on the non-emergency number 101.

“Alternatively information can be provided anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
