DETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Major Investigation Team probing the ‘Superstick’ murder of Eddie Gibson last year have charged charged two more people.
A 68-year-old man and a 70-year-old woman have been charged with assisting an offender and failing to provide information.
They are due to face Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, November 4.
Father-of-one Eddie Gibson was shot dead in Clonfadden Crescent in the Divis area of West Belfast last October by members of the Official Republican Movement (ORM) – known locally as the ‘Supersticks’.
He was falsely accused of raping a local woman.
One man is currently awaiting trial charged with Gibson’s murder.
Another man was arrested in Co Donegal last month and is currently in custody.
