MEN ARRESTED AFTER TWO STABBED IN SEASIDE TOWN

Police car collectTWO men have been arrested after two males were admitted to hospital after being stabbed in a house in Portrush.

The suspects were arrested following the incident in the Glenmanus Park area of the coastal town in the early hours of this morning.

The PSNI say officers were alerted just after 3.30 and the two men, aged 40 and 27, were taken to the Causeway Hospital for treatment to their injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.

Two men, aged 27 and 20, were arrested just before 5 am on suspicion of aggravated burglary.

The 20-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and disorderly behaviour.

Detective Sergeant Kelly Gallagher said: “The two men currently remain in custody assisting police with their enquiries.”
