POLICE APPEAL OVER NORTH BELFAST ASSAULT

Police scenePOLICE are investigating an assault on a male and female near Carlisle Square, north Belfast.

The assault took place on Saturday 23rd May 2015 at around 6.15 am.

Constable Kris Donaghy said: “The 26 year old female and 28 year old male were walking in the direction of Carlisle Square early that morning when they were assaulted by three – five masked males. B

“Both victims were taken to the hospital where they received treatment for a suspected broken arm and neck injuries.

“I would appeal to anyone who may have been in area at the time and witnessed this assault to contact Police at Musgrave on the non-emergency number 101 or alternatively anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
