POLICE are investigating the report of the theft of a horse from an animal sanctuary on Crosskeenan Lane, Antrim.

The horse is described as being black and white piebald, 14.2 hands high and heavily pregnant.

The animal was taken from a field sometime between 10 pm on Wednesday 1 July and 8 am this morning, Thursday 2 July.

Constable Moore said:“ I appeal anyone who was in the area and saw any suspicious activity or knows of the whereabouts of the horse to contact police at Antrim on 101 or alternatively contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
