‘LEGAL HIGHS’ SHOP TARGETED FOR A SECOND TIME BY ARSONISTS

Fire crew sceneDETECTIVES are investigating after a shop selling ‘legal highs’ was attacked again in a second arson attack.

Residents living in flats above the shop at Dunluce Street, Larne, had to leave their homes because of the blaze which started around 1.30 am this morning.

The shop’s shutters were pulled up and flammable liquid, believed to be petrol, was poured inside and set alight.

Three flats above the shop were evacuated while fire fighters tackled the blaze.

Police have appealed to anyone with information to contact them on the 101 non-emergency number.

The shop was first attacked on Saturday, May 2.
