MAN TO FACE COURT OVER STAB MURDER BID

Omagh magistrates courtDETECTIVES have charged a 29-year-old man with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence.

He was charged following an incident at Castlehill Road in Augher, Co Tyrone, on Thursday night.

During the attack a 40-year-old man sustained a number of stab wounds to his stomach.

The 29-year-old man is due to appear at Omagh Magistrates’ Court this morning.

A 23-year-old man who was arrested has been released on bail pending police enquiries.
