AN 80-year-old man has tragically died following a road crash in Co Down.

He was one of three people involved in the serious car crash between on Friday evening who were taken to hospital.

The accident happened between Carryduff and Ballynahinch, Co Down and among the injured was a pregnant woman.

The PSNI have now revealed an 80-year-old man injured in the crash has tragically lost his fight for life.

The collision happened on the A24 Carryduff Road and both police and paramedics attended the scene.

The crash involved three vehicles.

Diversions were in place for several hours until the scene was cleared.
