POLICE say a man has died and a woman has been seriously injured after a tree fell on a van.

The tragedy happened on the Keady Road in Co Armagh shortly before 3.5 pm yesterday.

The woman, who was a passenger in the van, was rushed to Craigavon Area Hospital by ambulance.

The road was closed between Ballyards Road and Ennislare Road and police have advised that it will remain closed this morning while its Collision Investigation Unit examine the scene.

Diversions are in place at Ennislare Road and Drumconwell Road.
