TEEN BOY STILL SERIOUS AFTER STABBING

Police crime scene picDETECTIVES are investigating after a 16-year-old boy was left seriously ill after a stabbing in Antrim.

The incident happened in the Craighill area at around 7am on Friday morning.

Police say his injuries are serious but not life-threatening.

The boy was dropped off at a hospital in the Antrim Area by someone driving a blue Toyota Rav 4 vehicle.

Detective Sergeant Philip McCullagh said: “I would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who has any information to contact Detectives at Antrim CID on the non-emergency number 101.

“I would also appeal to the driver of the Toyota Rav 4 to contact Police as they may have information which may assist the investigation into this incident.

“If someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
