DETECTIVES are appealing for information following a shooting incident at a house in Springfield Avenue on the evening of Thursday 26th February.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Gareth Hussey said, “ It was reported that at around 8pm on Thursday evening, damage was caused to the front door of a house in the area.

“Upon examination of the scene it is believed that a shotgun cartridge has been discharged, causing the damage.

“There was no-one inside the house at the time of the incident and there have been no reports of any injuries.

“Detectives are working to establish a motive for this incident and I would ask anyone with any information about the incident to contact CID at Musgrave on 101.

“Information can also be given anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
