A 23-year-old student from Belfast has been found dead at student accommodation in the Republic.

He was found at the Clarion Village in Co Sligo at around 4 pm on Monday.

Local Gardai were informed and the body was removed to Sligo General Hospital.

A post-mortem will take place later today.

Gardai say they are not treating his death as suspicious at this stage.
