HOMES EVACUATED IN SECURITY ALERT

Police scenePOLICE have evacuated a number of houses as part of a security alert.

Army Technical Officers are at the scene in Newtownabbey, Co Antrim following the discovery of a suspicious object.

Inspector Martin Ruddy said: “A number of houses have been evacuated.”

A number of roads in the Corrs Corner area, Ballycraigy Road and Ballyvessey Road have been closed as part of the security operation.
